How do you plan on utilizing this network?

Its a bit of amazement that a niche social networking site for internet marketers has taken this long to come to fruition. I'm sure their may have been previous attempts but not that landed on my radar. So my question is, how do we as digital marketers plan on using this niche network?

For me, I'd simply like a place to converse with like-minded people. Too much of what we do on a daily basis is relegated to the hallway conversations or a random doodle intertwined with your meeting notes (we all do it, come on).
I'd like this to be a place where a healthy cross-section of the Slashdot, Smashing Magazine, Ted and ClickZ crowd could intermingle. ;-)


I couldn't agree more - what took so long?!?! I can tell you with all of the attorneys and global thought leadership required to launch such an entity - I'm now understanding the mountain we are climbing. The Martin Agency and Interpublic Group (our holding company with Global presnece across 50+ countries has been a huge help. It is our goal to educate, teach, learn and network with our peers aound the globe - in REAL time. I would hope that at the ground level, we will be able to (for example) talk to an eMarketing/Digital professional in China to ask them about their experience and share best practices for marketing a CPG product online in their country. At the macro-level, we hope to establish best practices and become the clear leaders of the industry which has been lacking since its inception.
I can tell you that as of yesterday alone, we have new registrants from Russia, Australia, China, Japan, the Netherlands and Brazil! This is going to be huge adn thank you for being a part of this Adam!
